Engineering Surveyor - Milton Keynes
Murphy Group is looking for competent Engineer with rail and civils experience to provide support to high-profile projects across the Midlands. You will deal with all site engineering matters, related to setting out, engineering solutions, progress control and quality record keeping.

The Role
* Liaise with the client to check the setting out information being used is the latest available.
* Close liaison on a daily basis with the site foreman, works managers, engineers, specific crews and management for the required work plan.
* Providing surveys of the completed works in the required format as per client brief.
* Providing the existing site control, or establishing site control where required.
* Preparation of the setting out detail, and uploading / downing to instruments and computers as well as to machines as part of machine control.
* Responsibility for processing and drawing of setting out and as-built surveys.
* Responsible for the testing and calibration of the site survey equipment.
* Compiling and archiving raw and processed data for audit purposes.
* Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control.
* Ability to review and interrogate I-models and identify potential issues with proposed design based on review of revised OGL levels.
* Completion of ITP's where required for As-constructed drainage, utility and civils works where required.
* The production of survey information and red-line drawings for the completion of the as-built records.
* Identify and encourage the development of up and coming graduate team members.
* Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHES department.
* Developing a knowledge and understanding of the whole process of construction, setting out and survey administration.

Your Profile
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
* Degree qualified Civil Engineering or Similar
* Railway, Earthworks and Drainage experience
* Competent in surveying and setting out techniques
* Sound understanding of Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental and Sustainability project requirements.
* CSCS Card (relevant type)
* Full clean UK driving license
