Morgan Philips Group is an innovative recruitment business with a footprint across 4 continents. In just 5 years, we have built a global platform that disrupts conventional thinking in executive and professional recruiting. We combine high-touch consultancy with worldwide search capability and digital sourcing technologies to help you recruit better, faster and cost effectively. My Retained Client is a rapidly growing Property Development Business Based in London. Due to solid, continued growth they are looking for a Construction Manager to join their business, allowing the Directors of the business to focus solely on sourcing new developments, both self-operated and joint venture, to allow the positive trajectory to continue. We would invite applicants from anywhere within the M25 or its immediate outskirts to consider this role, as all sites and projects are planned to be within the Greater London area. We feel a candidate who is probably a Quantity Surveyor at the moment but aspires to be more hands on in the industry and perhaps wants something more lucrative than a general QS career will provide, to be a very good candidate for this role. That said, we would also look at candidates from a Senior Construction role or possibly even an Architect, who feels they also have the attributes listed below. The kind of projects that our client does are generally all refurbishment and 'value-add' projects rather than New-Build. This is generally due to the fact that with a London target for all projects, there isn't too much space available for outright new builds. Anything from converting a property into a few flats, to converting a large office into a significant number of flats, potentially with some additional mixed-use units, the exciting thing about this role is that only your imagination and construction capability will hold you back. This is a well organised, well funded organisation, with two major projects in the Fulham area, concluding at present, both offer a good case study to this fact. We are looking for an ambitious and hard-working candidate for this role. As mentioned, I envisage that a QS would be very well suited to this role but Architects and Construction Managers with the right mindsets and application would also be suitable. We need someone who can very meaningfully contribute to the selection of projects, have input on costing and pricing, manage the on-site labour force (Both Directly Employed and Sub-Contractors) Also we need someone who can interact with Investors to discuss present and future work and has the necessary IT Skills to be able to contribute to Investor Reporting and preparing information for the Accountants to do P&Ls and Balance Sheets. This is a real all-rounder of a role but I believe the rewards firmly reflect the calibre of candidate we are looking for. The Basic Salary on offer is in the region of £70,000. Bonuses on top mean that in the first year alone income should top £100,000 with very significant increases available if projects are consistently delivered on time and on budget. This is a great opportunity for an exciting role at a fabulous income, be ambitions, apply now, that is the kind of candidate we are looking for.
